ReqText is a VirtueMart 3.x/4.x plugin to add the functionality of required customer input fields for a product. This is a feature the current version of VirtueMart does not have.

The plugin will catch the click on the "Add to Cart" button to check if a customer input field is required and shows a "This is required' message. The plugin can add radio buttons, checkboxes, text fields, textareas and dropdown lists. When multiple choices are set they can be presented with individual prices (extra costs) when needed.

Your customers must first enter a text or make a selection out of given choices before adding the product to the cart (only when the required option is set ofcourse).

Why do I need ReqText?

As stated above – the current version of VirtueMart does not offer the possibility to add customer input fields that must be filled (required) before ordering a product. Also missing is the option to add radio buttons or checkboxes. You can set the options for each product individually and this can be achieved using the Custom Fields option in the VirtueMart backend.

Form fields

Add required text or textarea form fields. You can limit to only numeric or alphanumeric input (or a combination).
Add required dropdown list form fields. Set the selection to only one or multiple choices.
Add required radio buttons or checkbox form fields. You can use multiple choices for the checkbox input.
Add required datepicker form fields.
Fields with multiple options can be set to use a seperate price for each selected option.
Use required custom color selections so your customers can choose a color when selecting a product.

 

Features

Each ReqText form field can be set to required or not. When required a field must be filled before the Add to cart button van be used.
The Required Field message is shown using the Poshy Tip jQuery library (www.vadikom.com).
ReqText is fully multilingual using the default Joomla! language system. The Dutch and English language files are already included.
After the license purchase a full manual is available for download which describes the plugin extensivly.

 

Try the demo

This plugin does not affect any source code of the Virtuemart package. You can update VirtueMart at any time without the loss of the ReqText functionality.

BreadCrumbs Advanced

BreadCrumbs Advanced for Joomla! is a module which replaces the default breadcrumbs module from the Joomla! installation. It supports all default breadcrumbs options but with several advanced extras.

 

Advanced options

You can set if the last breadcrumb shown should be cut off (trimmed).
Set the cut off position for the breadcrumb (after x characters).
Add any character(s) at the cut off end. That way you can customize your breadcrumbs for your users to see there's more to read.
 

 

Fixed

When Show Last is set to No and Show Home is set to Yes it now does display Home, even if it is the last breadcrumb. This isn't the case with the default module.
When Show Last is set to No the seperator at the end of the line is now hidden. It was hangin' at the end of the line with the default module.

 

You can use this module instead of the original one but don't forget to deactivate the original breadcrumbs and activate this advanced one!
When your template has a line like this one: ...jdoc:include type="modules" name="breadcrumbs"... you'll have to replace the name with breadcrumbs_advanced. Or just use another position than breadcrumb.
